MatchRoom is a golf wagering companion that lets your group set up Nassau, skins, closest-to-the-pin, match play, best ball, and press wagers — all tracked live on every phone. Scores sync in real time, payouts are calculated automatically, and everyone stays on the same page from the first tee to the final putt.
To create a round, tap the “+” button on the home screen, pick your course from nearly 30,000 worldwide, and add players. You’ll get a round code and QR code to share with your group.
To join a round, tap “Join Round” on the home screen and either enter the round code or scan the QR code the organizer shares with you.
A MatchRoom subscription unlocks unlimited rounds, all wager types, and full press logic. Two plans are available:
Monthly — $4.99/month with a 7-day free trial.
Annual — $47.99/year with a 7-day free trial.
Both plans renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period. Your free trial converts to a paid subscription only if you don’t cancel within the first 7 days.
MatchRoom subscriptions are managed through Apple. To view, change, or cancel your subscription:
Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → select MatchRoom Golf.
From there you can switch plans or cancel. If you cancel, you’ll retain access through the end of your current billing period.
Yes. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored in Firebase with security rules that restrict access to authenticated round participants. We do not sell your data, display ads, or track you across apps. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
After creating a round and adding players, tap the Wagers tab to set up bets. MatchRoom supports Nassau (front 9, back 9, and total), skins, closest-to-the-pin, 1v1 match play, and best ball team formats. Set your amounts, configure handicap strokes if needed, and MatchRoom tracks everything hole by hole with live payouts.
A press is a new side bet that starts mid-round, typically when one side falls behind by a set number of holes (commonly 2-down). It’s essentially a fresh wager from that hole forward, played at the same stakes as the original bet. MatchRoom handles press logic automatically — including auto-press rules and press caps — so you don’t have to track them on a napkin.
Yes. Share your round code or QR code with anyone and they can join your round in progress. New players will appear on the leaderboard and become available for wagers immediately. They’ll appear on a player’s scorecard once added to that player’s pairing group.
If you have a promo code, open the app and navigate to the paywall screen. Enter your code there to redeem it. Promo codes grant full access for a set period without requiring a payment method.
